Digital Parenthood Conference organized for the first time in Kosovo

The parenting conference, DIGITAL PARENTHOOD, held for the first time by Shkolla Digjitale in Pristina, brought together parents, educators, psychologists, and experts to discuss various topics from the field of cybersecurity, social media, gaming, and cyberbullying, much needed for parenting in the digital age. This conference is intended to be organized in the coming years as well to help parents become aware of risks and manage the virtual world we belong to today.

The opening of this very important event was done by Hana Qerimi, who among other things said that our mission is not necessarily for every child to become a programmer, but for each of them to have technical skills. Among the special guests on the panels for the respective topics were experts in the fields who shared with us their experiences and advice, also answering audience questions at the end of each panel. Some of the key messages they conveyed:

Panel on Cyber Security

Blerton Abazi suggested we monitor children's online content and take care of online addiction. Fadil Abdyli emphasized the importance of mechanisms developed by the police to fight cybercrimes and appealed for monitoring children online.

Panel on Social Media

Valon Canhasi emphasized that the best way to protect children online is monitoring and talking to them about the risks. Drilon Jaha emphasized the need for more conferences for parents for awareness. Lumnije Telaku spoke about the psychological impact of social media on children's self-esteem.

Panel on Gaming

Natyra Agani emphasized that games are an integral part of children's development. Darsej Rizaj emphasized the importance of distinguishing between games with limited access and uncontrolled games.

Apps for online monitoring
