Code Week 2017

Coding Week is a global event aimed at raising awareness among parents and children worldwide about the effective learning of information technology from childhood. During the coding hour, children understand the importance of learning programming and try its application in practice.

Considering that Shkolla Digjitale is closely linked to the CODE organization in America, during this global initiative Shkolla Digjitale also joined this event.

During Coding Week at Shkolla Digjitale in Pristina and Ferizaj, a record was broken in Kosovo and the region, where as a single school it managed to accept over 1200 students who tried an hour of coding for free and heard a lecture on the importance of programming.

Although in Kosovo this topic is not yet being treated seriously by institutions and media, Shkolla Digjitale is filling a gap in children's education through organized courses for information technology.

Today at Shkolla Digjitale over 600 children attend regular programming courses. After only 2 years since the start of Shkolla Digjitale, students have managed to create Mobile Applications, build websites, and create computer games.

We feel proud that we are contributing to the development of this generation which will produce new professional profiles that will be able to face the challenges of the future.
