Shkolla Digjitale and StarLabs have welcomed the chairman of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Lumir Abdixhiku. The co-founders and leaders of Shkolla Digjitale and StarLabs, Hana Qerimi and Darsej Rizaj presented the LDK leader with the premises of both companies, also sharing their journey from the first steps to international success.
During the visit, the leaders of Shkolla Digjitale and StarLabs shared their years of experience in training children and young people aged 8-18 through the programming course, as well as preparing new professionals in the field of technology, offering employment opportunities and career advancement. Special emphasis during the visit was also given to the extraordinary potential of the IT sector in Kosovo, and particularly how to integrate it into the entire educational system of the country using our school model. Integrating coding into the curriculum starting from the first grades was the main focus of the conversation.
The leaders also expressed their willingness to cooperate with public institutions, declaring their commitment to the common goal of helping and empowering young people. They emphasized that they are constantly open to such partnerships. Also, it was stressed that we must keep pace with current technological advancements, as the IT sector as a whole offers solutions for the future of our young generation. Ardit Xhaferi, a former student of Shkolla Digjitale and now a Full Stack Web Developer at StarLabs, also introduced Abdixhiku to the first Albanian programming language created at StarLabs. This language can teach young generations programming without prior knowledge of English, which will be very useful for implementing the programming curriculum in primary schools.
Shkolla Digjitale and StarLabs began their journey in Prishtina by introducing a new approach to youth education using game-based logic. Today, this innovative concept has expanded to many countries around the globe, including Slovenia, Germany, the United States, Mexico, and many other countries.
