Why does my child need to learn programming

Programming... is a term that usually when we hear it, associates us with a group of individuals who are technology experts. However, programming is not just for technology experts! In recent years, a curriculum has been developed that enables children to learn to code in programming languages.

According to Mitch Resnick from MIT Media Lab, most children today who are exposed to technology give the impression that they are a technological generation and can do whatever they want with computers. However, this is a wrong concept, since according to statistics, most children know how to browse websites, communicate in chat, and play video games. Mitch adds that it seems as if we have taught children to read, but not to write. According to him, we have taught them how to use computers but not how to express their creativity through computers. In other words, it is the same as teaching them to read but not to write.
