Digital School is shaping the next generations of talented girls in technology

Encouraging girls' participation in technology through Digital School At a time when technology constitutes one of the greatest and most stimulating challenges of our time, the role of girls in this field fortunately is on the rise. This year, during the global Girls in Technology week, the focus was on 'Leadership' as the next motto. For Girls in ICT Day, at Digital School in Pristina we welcomed over 100 female students to appreciate and motivate all girls in their orientation in the field of technology, and we discussed success stories that can inspire them.

The director of Digital School, Hana Qerimi, held an interactive Q&A session with our students, who were informed about their future opportunities in this profession. This global week has also been joined by Digital School franchises, which have organized various events for students, motivating them. Since its founding, Digital School has always been a great and important support for girls who wish to build a career in this field. By providing an encouraging environment, Digital School with all its franchises in Kosovo and worldwide has made it possible for girls to be trained in the field of technology and to prepare for their future in the job market.

Promoting gender equality, over the years the participation of women in the staff and in the number of students at Shkolla Digjitale has increased, where the participation of women in the staff is over 56%, while the number of students is around 30%. This increase demonstrates their power and potential in the field of technology, where girls are constantly showing numerous results and successes in this regard. The girls' team from Shkolla Digjitale in Prishtina, just this week, won first place in the 11-hour coding competition MiketxWiSTEM hackathon, with their project 'Empower Her', which aims to empower the community of girls for personal and professional development. In addition to first place, the students of Shkolla Digjitale also won 2 other special awards, 'The most Diligent Coder' and 'The most Innovative Coder', proving their skills among the other competitors of this competition.

The teenage girls of our school have created creative and functional programs that challenge even the professional projects of local and international technology companies, including real projects for clients. Leading this journey, they are amazing us with their technical skills and dedication to change the world through technological innovation. We invite all girls aged 8 - 18 to learn coding with us because our future is in your hands.
