Foundation. No syntax.

The child learns to think like a programmer before touching the keyboard: breaks an idea into steps, builds it, and sees it working. From the first blocks to Scratch.

What they will learn

Six skills that last a lifetime.

The foundations of computational thinking — the same principles underlying every programming language, simplified for ages 8–11.

No prior experience needed. We start from the first block — if the child has tried Scratch before, they simply move faster through the first stops.
  1. Think like a programmer.Loops, conditions, and events — before seeing a line of code.
  2. Break a big idea into steps that work.Breaking down a problem is the skill that remains, regardless of the language.
  3. Build the first 2D game that is actually playable.Character, movement, points, and loss — a game someone else plays.
  4. Control a character with the keys.Keyboard events connect to on-screen behavior.
  5. Find why something doesn't work — and fix it yourself.A mistake becomes a task to solve, not a reason to give up.
  6. Present their own work to the class.Explaining what they built is part of building.

Learning path

Four stops. One single road.

From the first block to Scratch — every step builds on the previous one, with no gaps.

14 lessonsdBlox ExplorerFirst contact with blocks — sequences, drag-and-drop, colors and shapes. The child discovers that logic has order.
18 lessonsdBlox BuilderBuilds small scenes — loops, simple conditions, click events. Starts thinking in steps.
20 lessonsdBlox MasterCombines advanced logic — decomposition, small functions, linked events. Solves complete puzzles.
38 lessonsScratchTransition to the world platform — builds the first game, animations and an interactive story presented in class.

What they will build

Four projects they keep with them.

Each cycle ends with something they can play, share with family and show proudly — not an exercise that closes and is forgotten.

2D gameFirst gameA simple platformer in Scratch — the character jumps, collects stars and loses lives.
Interactive characterMoving characterControls a character with keys — left, right, jump, collection.
Text programStory machineProgram that combines random words and creates funny stories for the family.
Interactive animationDigital cardAnimated birthday card — with music, moving text and characters that greet.

Class rhythm

80 minutes. Four rhythms.

Every lesson is built with the same familiar rhythm — so the child walks in and knows what to expect.
